Digestive system: quiz guide

• Name of enzymes, enzyme reactions and products formed during each of starch, proteins and fat digestion

• What organs aid in release of those enzymes and where does each of those processes occur.

• Table 2 on Pg 187: Understand the importance of changing acid and base to the effect on reaction.

• What all reagents (the obvious ones) were used for each of these tests

• Slide identification question: Know the functions of every layer of small intestine. Most importantly the muscle layers that are responsible for peristalsis and segmentation.

• Identification of organs: Know all the organs on Pg 192 as well as their function

• Also go through all the summary questions on Pg 192 and 193.

I will be there early so if any body wants to go through the digestive system in pig again before quiz – just hop in early.
